Call for Reviews

We are pleased to announce a CFP for reviews for our online peer-reviewed journal, The Phoenix Papers.  Throughout the year, we welcome reviews of anime, manga, books, movies, video games, TV series, web series, musical albums, performances, and other pop culture media products.  This is a rolling CFP and has no specific deadline.  In general, reviews should be of items from 2009 onward with precedence given to those from the current year.  If you wish to contribute, please go to the Contact Us page and send a brief description of both the item you wish to review and why you are the right person for the job.  Those selected for inclusion will be notified shortly afterward.  The first edition of the journal will be published in January 2013 and quarterly after that.

Reviews should be headlined with reference in Chicago, APA, or MLA format, be no more than 2000 words in length, and include the author’s name and institutional affiliation if any.  When submitting a completed review, please also include a brief CV/resume with full contact information.  Writers at all academic levels are encouraged to submit proposals.

Please feel free to send us any questions you may have via the Contact Us page.
